Lupe O Romo "Sam" - February 21, 1924- October 24th, 2016

Lupe O " Sam" Romo, 92 born in Jerome AZ. Resided in Arizona for over 92 years and lived in Sierra Vista for over 60 years. Our dear lord took him to his eternal resting place on Monday October 24th, 2016 in Sierra Vista AZ.

Survived by his wife Adelina Romo married for over 61 years along with six children, Dianne Higgs/Mike, Marylou Galvez/David, Arleen Buzas/Richard, Kenneth Romo/Traci, Ramona Montgomery/Orville, and Anthony Romo. Lupe Romo had 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and sister Ruth Romo.

Lupe Romo was a World War II veteran in the US Navy and a 4th degree Knight, a VFW, American Legion member, and was an usher at St Andrews Catholic Church. Lupe "Sam" Romo retired from Ft Huachuca as a Civil Service Engineer. Lupe "Sam" Romo enjoyed music, loved dancing, and had an eye for architectural design and enjoyed reading, along with his memorable speeches at family gatherings. Our husband/father also enjoyed camping trips, working in the yard, and loved his sweet chocolates, cakes, doughnuts, and milkshakes. And above all loved and cherished his wife and family throughout his lifetime.

Lupe Romo was preceded in death by his parents Augustine and Balbina Romo and grand daughter Ramona "Monie" Montgomery, two brothers Louie Romo, Manuel Romo and sisters Mary Encinas, Sally Romo, Minnie Romo, Raymond Hernandez, and Lilly Diaz.

A memorial service will be held at St Andrew's Church, 800 Taylor Drive, Sierra Vista AZ 85635 with a viewing from 10:30 to 11:30 on October 28th, 2016 followed by a rosary at 11:30 and mass at 12:00PM.

Donations and flowers will be accepted at St Andrew's Church.
