Karen Loper, aged 63 passed away Monday, March 4th, 2024 in Sierra Vista, Arizona. The daughter of Kaye Whisman and Michael Draper. Karen was born February 18th, 1961, in Payson, Utah. Karen was their only child but was the oldest of her four siblings.
Karen was raised in Utah for seventeen years, then moved to Augustburg, Germany with her mother and stepfather where she graduated high school. She returned to Utah and remained there until she moved to Arizona in 1986.
Karen devoted her life to others. Both professionally and personally. Karen’s crown jewels were her children and grandchildren. Taking every opportunity to tell anyone how proud she was of each and every one of them. Karen also adored all her family and friends. Gatherings brought her so much joy.      
Karen is preceded in death by her grandparent’s Clarence and Beth Wyler, father Michael Draper, stepmother Mary Lou Draper, Stepfather Richard Whisman, Uncles Boyd and Steven Wyler, and Cousin Vincent B. Wyler.
She is survived by her mother Kaye Whisman, Aunt Marsha Ishmael: four children Tiffany (Dusty) Miller, Brieana (Jeremy) Schnaithman, Tyler (Maydelin) Loper, and Jared (Briana Watson) Loper: eight grandchildren Jack, Breelle, Myles, Leo, Caleb, Caden, Braylee, and Salem. Her Brothers Mike (Rhonda) Draper, Rodney (Shena) Draper; sisters Heidi (Mark) Davis and Michelle Whisman.

Services will be held Saturday March 16th, 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Crist of Latter Day Saints 1655 S Avenida Del Sol, Sierra Vista, AZ 85635
