William Clell Petty

Col William C. Petty US Army (Ret) died on December 9th, 2021. He was born in Elmwood, Tennessee on September 26th, 1924. He has been reunited with his wife of 52 years, Rita M. Petty. 

He is survived by his two sons; James M. Petty of Knoxville, TN and Kevin R. Petty of Bartlesville, OK, his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; H. D & Mammie Petty; His brothers Clarence and Letcher; and His sisters, Caria, Florence, Frances, Helen, and Pauline.

He moved to Sierra Vista with his family in 1981 after serving over 33 years in the U.S. Army Signal Corps. He worked for several government contractors supporting Fort Huachuca in the field of communications until his final retirement in 1995. 

A rosary and mass will be held at St. Andrews Church in April followed by a burial at the Fort Huachuca Cemetery. More details will be provide when they are available.
