Ryan Edward Balasa
August 10, 1974 ~ June 21, 2023 (age 48) 48 Years Old
Ryan Edward Balasa passed away at the young age of 48 years old on June 21, 2023. Ryan was born August 10, 1974 to Adam and Diana Balasa in Winfield, Illinois. Ryan’s vibrant personality made him loved by many where ever he went. His infectious laugh will forever be remembered and deeply missed.
In his younger years, he lived between Glen Ellen, Illinois and Durango, Colorado. He was very athletic and excelled in ice hockey, soccer, and skiing. He loved all Chicago sports throughout his life. As a young adult, Ryan moved to Knox, Indiana where he worked as a carpenter. He enjoyed time on the lake and watching his three young nieces grow up. Ryan eventually moved to Sierra Vista, Arizona to be with his brother, Robert, and his mother.
Ryan was well known as a finish carpenter. He loved building anything out of wood. He constructed everything imaginable from bookcases to chicken coops without needing a diagram. He envisioned it all in his mind.
Ryan saw the world as his playground and boy did he play. He loved music, going to concerts, golfing, skiing, casinos, cooking, and hiking The Grand Canyon. Ryan was competitive and started chili and rib cooking competitions and won every rib competition he entered.
He is preceded in death by his father, Adam Balasa. He is survived by his beloved girlfriend Kimberly (Kim) Dunn, his mother Diana Balasa, his brother Robert (Julia). His half-brothers Scott and Carl, and half-sister Kathleen. His most adored and loved nieces, Jessika (Bennett), Taylor, and Kaylee.
