Richard "Dick" McKearney
Dick McKearney, a 32 year Sierra Vista/Huachuca City resident, passed away at home on August 18, 2023.
Dick was a career brick and block mason. His handiwork adorns a number of businesses all around Tucson and Southern Arizona. A devoted family man and faithful friend, Dick was also an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved fishing at Parker Canyon Lake, deer hunting at the fort, and elk hunting up north. In his later years, watching cowboy movies was one of his favorite pastimes.
Dick is reunited in heaven now with his loving wife of 59 years, Katie, along with his daughter Wendy. Dick is survived by his daughters, Cindy McKearney, Vicky Petkovich, and Mary Herberholz. Dick also leaves behind six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and friends whom he loved dearly.
A memorial service will be held for Dick at Jensen's Sierra Vista Mortuary on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Dick's name to Arizona Game and Fish Department,
Attn: Conserve and Protect, 5000 W. Carefree Highway, Phoenix, AZ 85086
