Ranya Ann-Marie Sullivan Ranya Ann-Marie Sullivan, 48, a longtime resident of Bisbee passed away on May 23, 2017 surrounded by her loving parents, Gloria (Ric) Perry, sister Shamaine Garcia, daughter Jaslin Acedo, son Manuel Acedo Jr., husband Manuel Acedo, and dear friend, Diana Verdugo.
Ranya was born on Christmas Eve, 1968, in Grand Junction, Colorado. Ranya cherished her role as a mother, her children were her life and family was always a priority. She was outspoken and always knew the right thing to say. As Shamaine always said, "Instead of asking myself, "What would Jesus do?" I ask myself, "What would Ranya do?"
Ranya will be remembered for her witty sense of humor and her larger than life personality. She was a strong and courageous woman, and that's something her children loved and admired about her. She always made time for what mattered in life, all the while triumphing in her career.
She played a key role for the start-up and success of three multifamily apartment communities in Sierra Vista, Arizona. She was respected for her knowledge and the residents loved her. She will be greatly missed by her loving family, friends, and work friends she has made through the years.
Ranya is survived by her aunt MaryBeth Slauenwhite, cousin Carey Mills, in-laws Oscar and Rita Alvarez, sisters-in-law, Maria Pico, Tanya Acedo, Alma (Pablo) Mendez, and Patty Alvarez and many nieces and nephews. Ranya is preceded in death by her father, Jeff Sullivan and her grandfather, Jesus Gamino.
A service will be held Thursday, June 8 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's in Bisbee.
