Her death is a loss for those who loved her, but she is deserving of the peace. Husband James E. Fought Sr., Son’s James A. Fought and James E. Fought Jr., and extended family.

Nellie Fought, 85 years old, born on February 8th, 1938 was a caring wife, mother, sister, and friend. She left this world suddenly after a long battle with a serious illness on July 8th, 2023.

She was born in Tombstone, Arizona to parents Encarnacion (Asuncion) Valerio and Maria Manriquez Valerio.

After graduating from Tombstone Highschool, she continued to make friends and be a part of her community. She became a beautician and for several years ran her own beauty shop. She met her loving husband, James E. Fought Sr. (Jim) in Tombstone where they spent the last 52 wonderful years together in each other’s arms.

She was a longtime member of the Tombstone Wild Bunch and American Legion Auxiliary.

Nellie loved to spend time in the kitchen creating delicious meals for her family. She enjoyed gardening and being outside attending to her plants and flowers. One of her most favorite things she loved to do was to take evening walks, hand in hand with her loving husband. One of her great passions she enjoyed doing with the love of her life was to go rock hunting to add to her collection.

She was born and a native of Tombstone, Arizona, where she lived her whole life, enjoying every minute of it raising two wonderful sons alongside her husband.

Her gentle touch, smile, kindness, and guidance will be truly missed by everyone who knew her and will always be carried in our hearts and your memory will always be in our thoughts and soul, and never be forgotten. We will miss you and always love you.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 10 AM on July 18th, 2023 at The Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Tombstone, AZ. At the corner of 6th and Safford Street. Grave side service will be conducted after the completion of the church services.
