Marsha Huston Staats passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 11, 2025. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert C. Huston, and her brothers, Michael D. Huston and Mark Huston. Marsha is survived by her loving mother, Marlene H. Huston; her children, Justin Staats, Robert Staats, and Dereck Lammers; her siblings, Tracy Huston Newsome (Gary), David Huston, Monica Fuller (Steve), Nicole Nix, and Brian Huston (Leslie); along with numerous nieces and nephews-Laiken, Meg, Daniel, Leah, Dominic, Julian, Aaliyah, Zaida, Anthony, Eric, Ryan, Candace, Bailey, Dionce Reeves, and Kyleana Reeves-and her cherished grandchildren.
Marsha dedicated her career to the U.S. Postal Service in Hereford, Arizona, and proudly served her country as a U.S. Army veteran. A devoted single mother, she raised her children with a tireless work ethic and a boundless sense of adventure. Whether traveling to new places or enjoying time with friends, Marsha knew how to live life to the fullest. She could charm anyone, and while occasionally stubborn, she was fiercely loyal to those she loved.
Marsha's vibrant spirit was unmistakable. Her ever-changing hair colors-purple one week, red the next-reflected her playful, vivacious, and unforgettable personality. Smart, sweet, sassy, and full of life, she had a way of capturing hearts wherever she went. If Marsha loved you, consider yourself truly fortunate.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Bonnie's Lounge, 6310 AZ-92, Hereford, Arizona, on Sunday, October 26, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. Guests are welcome to bring a dish to share, or simply join in remembering and honoring her life.
Funeral services will be held at the New Jerusalem Community Church, 479 W. Wilcox Dr. Sierra Vista, AZ on Friday October 31st, at 10 AM. Please join us in our final farewell to Marsha.
