Peggy’s radiant spirit, deep love for her family, and commitment to her faith will forever be cherished by those who knew her.

Peggy was born with a heart full of kindness and a zest for life that was evident in everything she did. She is survived by her devoted husband, John Childress; her loving daughters, Melody DuBridge (husband Darrick) and Michelle Abel (husband Adam); and her cherished grandchildren, Christopher Causer, Bradley Causer, Dean Causer, Amanda Hoyle, Nicholas Abel, and Matthew Abel. Peggy’s legacy lives on through her great-grandchildren, Angelique, Killian, Temperance, Mariah, Lance, Steven, Matthew, and Haisley. She is also survived by her siblings, nephews, and extended family, including her nephew Vincent Bibbee (wife Summer).

Peggy was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Hoyle, and her sister, Betty Bibbee (husband Robert), who undoubtedly welcomed her into their arms in heaven.

Peggy had a deep love for her church and found joy and peace in her faith. She loved spending time with her faithful companion, her dog Casper. In her younger years, Peggy was an active traveler, a spirited square dancer, and a proud member of the Red Hat Society, enthusiastically engaging in community events and gatherings. Her warm personality and infectious laughter made her a beloved presence wherever she went.
