Lucille Brace Obituary

BRACE, Lucille (Lucy) 86, of Sierra Vista, Arizona passed away peacefully after a long battle with Alzheimer’s dementia.

Lucy was born in Rumford, Maine in 1935.

She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter and sister. In 1960 she and her family moved from Kansas City, Missouri to Albuquerque where they lived for 57 years before moving to Arizona.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Leroy; son Michael (Ann); brother Larry; grandson Samuel (Breanne), great-grandsons Mason and Everett and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her daughter Kathleen proceeded her in death in 2012.

Lucy and her husband, Buz, enjoyed traveling in their RV seeing much of the US, Canada and Mexico. She loved the people of Mexico. They were also able to travel through Europe and Asia.

The family would like to give special thanks to all who cared for her; Prestige Expressions, Valor HospiceCare and Parag Patel M.D.

She was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and her remains will be interred at the Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery in a private ceremony.
