Kathryn Burchwell, affectionately known as Kathy, passed away peacefully at the age of 82 on March 10, 2022 at home, surrounded by her loved ones.

Kathy was born in Michigan and married the love of her life, Homer Burchwell, in 1960. Together, they made their home in Sierra Vista for the past 53 years. Kathy was a devoted and loving wife, a dedicated mother, and a fun grandmother. Homer has always lovingly said “she (Kathy) is the best woman in the world”. She will be remembered for her quick wit and her contagious laugh. She enjoyed sharing her interests with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all those who loved her.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 62 years, Homer Burchwell; her daughters, Gayle Zehr (Michael) and Karen Boroski (Roman); her son, Craig Burchwell (Karen); her grandchildren, Christopher, Christina, Stephanie, Lydia, Sarah, Teresa, Diana and 15 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and some siblings.

Rosary and mass will be held on March 28, 2022 at 10:00am at St Andrews Catholic Church, Sierra Vista. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Heart Association.
