Jess Limon, August 13, 1936 to May 2, 2017 Jess Limon passed away in Benson Arizona on May 2, 2017 where he was hospitalized. He was living in Cypress Inn Assisted Living Center in Douglas, Arizona and he resided there many years. Jess was born on August 13, 1936 in Fort Collins, Colorado, the first of seven children, to Jesus R. Limon and Angelina M. Limon.
The family moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming in 1942 where he continued school. He attended Cheyenne High School.
Jess lived his life as a free spirit. He enjoyed water skiing, snow skiing, motorcycles, customizing cars, helping people, his pets, both cats and dogs, watching movies, listening to music, and building a Capp home. He married Marilyn Ruethenberg in 1953 This union brought a son, Dennis into his life.
Later that year, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served his Country. After serving with the Marines, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served for two years. While stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington with the U.S. Army, he met and married Arlene. They have a daughter Jeylene Limon and a son Sheldon Limon. Tragically, Sheldon was killed in a car accident in Little Rock, Arkansas in 2000. He then married Judy in Aurora, Colorado in 1982. Later, he moved to Washington State where he met and married Rose who had two beautiful sons. He took them in and raised them as his own. Jess was single when he passed away.
He began his career in San Francisco, California in 1963, working for United Airlines. He transferred to Denver, Colorado in 1967 so he could be closer to his Father and brothers and sisters. He built a beautiful Capp Home in Parker, Colorado where he lived for a number of years. He retired from UAL in 1983. After retiring, he toured much of the U.S.A. on his BMW Motorcycle. He lived in Rio Rancho Estates, New Mexico then moved to Tucson, Arizona eventually moving to Douglas, Arizona and spent the remainder of his life there.
He loved his family and just a few days before the end of his life, he told visiting family members and the Nurses that he had the most wonderful family. He was at peace. He was preceded in death by his Parents, a sister Mary Ellen Whorton of Winlock, Washington, and his son Sheldon of Little Rock, Arkansas, two half sisters, Eleanor Campbell of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Beatrice Ysco of Hayward, California. He is survived by his daughter Jeylene Limon of Idaho, brothers, Gene (Rosella) Loveland, Colorado, John (Jan) Eaton, Colorado, Frank (Darcy) Buckeye, Arizona and sisters Delores Bray (Larry) of Spanaway, Washington, Rachel Leipzig (John) of Claremore, Oklahoma. and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Rest in peace dear brother, you have earned your rest and you are now without pain resting with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Cremation Services have been conducted by Jensen Mortuary, Sierra Vista, Arizona.
