Jeffrey Allen Rudy, lovingly known to his family as the Man, the Myth, the Legend.
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we, the family of Jeffrey Allen Rudy, announce his passing on November 1, 2022.
Jeff was born in Buck’s County, Pennsylvania on October 7th, 1963, to parents Eugene and Barbara Rudy. He was the youngest of four siblings. His family later moved to Arizona where Jeff attended school then joined the Air Force. Jeff started a career in Retail Sales Management and traveled the country with his family. He returned to Sierra Vista and ended his working career as a contractor, Alpha of the Waste/Water Treatment Plant on Fort Huachuca Army Post.
Jeff was a devoted husband, loving father and an amazing grandfather. He felt his family was the greatest achievement in life. Known for his fierce love of family and friends, his sweet tooth and driving fast, he loved to laugh and wanted to share it with everyone around him. He was known as a pool shark and avid poker player and enjoyed spirited intellectual discussions while enjoying his favorite spirits. Jeff had a generous and giving soul and the reputation to be someone you can count on whether it be a friend in need or a hungry ant hill. Jeff’s family and friends knew they were well and truly loved.
Jeff was a proud member of the Bill Carmichael American Legion Post 52 in Sierra Vista. As the Financial Officer he was truly devoted to the welfare and care of his fellow members. You could always find Jeff at the Legion participating in fundraising events and just enjoying his time with anyone and everyone, stranger or friend.
Jeff is survived by his best friend and wife, Teresa (Hains) Rudy; eldest daughter Ashley (Joe Kirshy), daughter Megan, Son Jeffrey, grandchildren Olivia and Joseph, Brothers Tom, Greg (Linda) and loving In-Laws Neil, Susan, Jeffery and Paul (Rachel) Hains. There will be a celebration of life on November 20th at 2:00 PM at the American Legion Post 52.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you buy a drink for a friend, do a kind gesture for a stray animal, or donate to Jeff’s favorite charities – St. Jude Children’s Hospital or The American Legion Post 52.
