Janice Marie Heicksen

Janice (Jan) Marie Holter Heicksen, 75, went to be with her Lord on April 2, 2018 at home surrounded by her family and friends.

Jan was raised in Santa Cruz, California. She attended Holy Cross School until her junior year, and graduated from Santa Cruz High School. Jan worked in the medical field for 16 years before working 19 years and retiring from the University of California. In 1995, Byron and Jan moved to Sierra Vista. She enjoyed baking and cooking and was an avid reader. Jan had a gift of making friends, which she kept all her life.

Jan was preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa Kreider, and her sister, Peg McFadden. She leaves behind Byron, her husband of 54 years; her son, Jeff; daughter-in-law, Annamarie; grandson, Henry; Annamarie’s parents, Alfred and Regina Alongi; and three brothers: Larry, Bobby, and Dennis Holter. In addition, Jan leaves behind many good friends here in Arizona, California, Idaho and Oregon, some of which she has known since kindergarten.
