JAMES (Jim) EDWARD CHRISTIAN passed away on Feburary 28th, 2018, after batteling a long illness. He was with his family and many friends stopped by during his last days. He was 55 years of age, born June 10, 1962 in Camp Lejune, North Carolina. In 1965 he moved with his Mother and Brother to Douglas, AZ. Where he attended elementary school. The family then moved to Sierra Vista where he graduated from Buena High School in 1981. Jim soon married and joined the Army to work as a Weapons System Surveyor. He and his wife had a daughter, Jennifer. After leaving the Army he worked at the Golf Course on Ft.Huachuca along with jobs in the construction field. He eventually became the full time caretaker to his Mother. Jim was helpful, thoughtful, caring and a hard worker. He had a great sense of humor and loved a good joke. He loved to fish, it did not matter what time of day or night he was always ready to go fishing. He loved the mountains, camping and hiking and his cat, Squirrel. Jim became ill several years ago and although he fought hard, his illness finally overcame him. He was very brave during his battle for life. His Mother, Jacqueline Christian, of Sierra Vista, his brother Sandor (Sandy) Christian of Las Vegas NV, and his daughter, Jennifer De La Ossa of Oklahoma, survives him. His father, Alex Christian and his grandparents John and Nellie Fisher of Douglas, Az. preceded him in death. He leaves behind many good friends and acquaintances who will miss him. As per his wishes, he will be cremated and his remains placed in a niche at the Sierra Vista Veterans Cemetery. His obituary can also be found at, jensenssierravistamortuary.com.
