Humbert Abram Federico, 81, died on Feb. 5, 2018. Humbert was born to Frank and Frances Federico in Tombstone, Feb. 11, 1936. He grew up in Tombstone and Fort Huachuca.
He graduated from Tombstone High in 1953. In 1955 he married the love of his life, Jarice Diane Tate. They had three children, Diane, Frank and Donald, and then they were blessed with their bonus child, Michele.
After graduating high school, Humbert joined the Navy. He spent most of that time on two aircraft carriers, the USS Yorktown and the USS Shangri-la. Humbert eventually returned to the military when he joined the Naval Reserves and the Army National Guard. His proud military career spanned 16 years. When Humbert left the Navy, he worked as a civil servant at Ft. Huachuca from 1967 to 1996.
In the early 70s, Humbert gave his heart and life to the Lord Jesus Christ and served in the church in many different capacities.
Humber is survived by his loving wife, Jarice, his daughter, Diane Federico, his two sons, Frank Federico and Donald (Becky) Federico, and his bonus daughter, Michele (Tommy) Hunter. He has four grandchildren: Donny, Ashley, Lindsay and Adriel; five great grandchildren: Kirsten, Presley, Julissa, Antonio and Jordan; one great-great grandson, Nathan.
A celebration of life will be held March 3, 2018, 11 a.m. at Life in Christ Church, 2300 Las Brisas Way, Sierra Vista, AZ 85635.
