1SG (R) Harold E. (Joe) Lookabaugh lost his battle to cancer September 22, 2019. He was born December 31, 1942, in Vandergrift, Pennsylvania to Dean and Elise.
Joe served his country in the United States Army Signal Corps for 22 years, two months, and two days, retiring on his birthday. His service took him to Kansas, California, and Arizona in the U.S. and Taiwan, Belgium, Iran, Korea, and Saudi Arabia.
He was an incredibly caring, compassionate man, always willing to help others in their times of need. For several years he was involved in dog rescue with MinPinHaven Rescue.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Patricia.
He is survived by his brothers, William (Debbie) and Kenneth (Jody); sister, Marcella Brewer; son, David; stepdaughters, Kathy (James) Montgomery and Sheila Alexander; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Our hearts ache at his passing.
Per his request, there will be no service.
In lieu of flowers for the family, please send a donation in his name to Tombstone Small Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 1085, Tombstone, Arizona 85638.
