Gayle Keyes

Gayle Keyes was born in Bisbee, Arizona on August 4, 1946 to David and Ida Keyes.

She attended Central, Horace Mann (valedictorian in 1960) and Bisbee High School (graduated in the class of 1964, the largest class and closest). Happy 55th.

Gayle passed away on April 20, 2019.

She attended the University of Arizona where she joined the Delta Delta Delta sorority and was treasurer. She received her Bachelor of Science degrees in mathematics, chemistry, and physics. Gayle worked for the Arizona Department of Economic Security for 7 years in the Fraud Investigation Department. She also worked for Phelps Dodge Mining Company as a senior accountant for 38 years before retiring in 2007. Gayle was also on the AYSO Christmas in April and Senior Center boards. She was also a member of the Society of Mining Engineers for 2 years.

Gayle was preceded in death by her parents David and Ida Keyes, her baby brother David Keyes, Jr., her sons David Finley and Marcus Taylor and her step-granddaughter Mandy Reed. She is survived by her step-children Brad Taylor, Cindy Reed, her step-grandson Royce Reed, and the love of her life “Queenie”.
