Evelyn Hiser Obituary

Evelyn Mae Hiser, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully of natural causes on April 26, 2024, at the age of 93. She was born in Newton Kansas on July 7, 1930. Her twinkling blue eyes and fiery red hair, embodied a spirit that was as vibrant as her appearance.

Evelyn was known for her quick wit and feisty nature, never hesitating to speak her mind. Her honesty and candor were matched only by her warmth and generosity. She was an exceptional athlete, boasting skills on the bowling alley and the field, leaving a legacy of sportsmanship and camaraderie.

For 30 years, Evelyn dedicated herself to serving the federal government, culminating her career as a meticulous budget analyst. Her organizational prowess was unmatched, as evidenced by the multitude of records she kept for decades.

Beyond her professional achievements, Evelyn was a talented seamstress, often creating beautiful baby blankets, Halloween costumes, and crafting holiday dresses for her grandchildren. Her home was a constant hub of activity, with Evelyn always embarking on new projects.

Throughout her life, Evelyn forged countless friendships, touching the lives of all who knew her. Her capacity for kindness knew no bounds, and she always placed the needs of her family above all else.

Evelyn is survived by her eldest daughter, Debbie, her son Daryl, and her youngest daughter, Michelle (Shelley). She leaves behind a legacy of love, embodied by her six grandchildren, Daniel, Sarah, Ken, Mandi, Lianne, and Jacob, as well as her nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held at the Black Oak Cemetery in Canelo, Arizona, at 11 AM on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Frank, who proceeded her in death by 36 years. They will be rejoined to rest peacefully on the gentle knolls of the Canelo Hills for eternity.

Her love for animals, especially cats and dogs, was evident throughout her life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Humane Society of Southern Arizona, an organization close to Evelyn's heart.
