Doris Ilene (Reuter) Glidewell

Doris Ilene Glidewell, 85, died on April 14, 2017. Doris was born in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Julius and Christina Reuter.

She was predeceased by her sister Mary Woodburn and her husband, Ned Glidewell Sr. She spent her early years in St. Louis and moved to Fremont, Nebraska where she met her husband. They married on June 18, 1953 and were together until Ned’s death in 2005. The lived in Nebraska and had a daughter, Lori and a son, Ned Jr. In 1964 they moved to Sun Valley in northern Arizona where they lived for three years. After spending one year in Phoenix, they moved to Sierra Vista when Ned got a job working on Fort Huachuca. They lived here the rest of their lives, except for a two year stint in Le Claire, Iowa.

She spent her life in Sierra Vista working and attending Sierra Evangelical Lutheran Church and enjoyed it immensely.

Services will be held at Sierra Evangelical Lutheran Church, 101 N Lenzner Ave., Sierra Vista on Wednesday, April 26 at 1 p.m.
