Donna Mae Hohl (Hicks), 88, passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at the Villa Maria Care Center in Tucson, Arizona where she has lived for the past 8 years. She was born on June 18, 1930 in Buffalo, Minnesota to Eugene and Pearl (Bjorklund) Hicks.
She graduated from Buffalo High in 1948 and later married “her love”, Clayton Hohl, also from Buffalo, on September 15, 1953.
They worked hard raising dairy cows and 3 boys. In 1974, the family relocated to Benson, Arizona as she needed a warmer climate due to a health issue. In 1985, they moved to Sierra Vista, Arizona.
By this time her grandchildren were on the way and she continued to share “her love” of children by lending a helping hand to raise them all and she was very proud of her sons and their children.
Donna is survived by her sons, Michael (Merrilee) of Nine Mile Falls, Washington, William of Tucson, Arizona, and Randy of Los Cruces, New Mexico; 6 grandchildren, Jeffrey Hohl of Clayton, Washington, Stephanie Read of Glendale, Arizona, SFC Christine Hohl US Army of Brussels, Belgium, Whitney Cassens of Spokane, Washington, Alicia Hohl of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Clayton Hohl of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and 8 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and her Husband, Clay.
She will be greatly missed by her family.
