Dolores (Dee) Bray Walz, 88, of Sierra Vista, passed away on Sept. 9, 2017. She was a resident of Sierra Vista for the last 44 years. She was born on March 4, 1929 in Collingdale, Pennsylvania.
Dolores married Alfred (Al) Walz on April 17, 1954 in Sharon Hill Pennsylvania, thereby becoming an army wife. She raised three children while stationed at different posts, from Virginia to Panama, Okinawa, and New Jersey. Dolores retired in May 1990 as an accountant for central accounting office at Ft. Huachuca.
She is predeceased by her parents, John E. Barnes and Ethel B. Whitlock, her eldest daughter, Linda Bray Basse, and her grandson, Charles Basse. She is survived by her son, Frank Walz, Jr. (Julia) of Kentucky, and daughter Sharon (Gary) of California.
She has been blessed with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dolores’ favorite pastime was traveling the world with her husband. She also enjoyed golfing and reading.
Memorial service will be held at Mountain View Gardens on Thursday, Sept. 14, at 3 p.m.
