Dennis Farris

Dennis Farris, 71, passed away on March 15, 2018. Dennis was born to Calvin and Marie Farris on Jan. 17, 1947, in Waterloo, Iowa.

He served in the Navy as a sheet metal worker on the USS Orion. He then went on to serve as a law enforcement officer in California and in Iowa. In 1986, he moved his family to Sierra Vista where he retired from the Sierra Vista Public Schools as a craftsman.

He enjoyed hunting, hot rods and being involved with the Shriners. He was loved by his family and cherished by his friends. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his two sisters, Jeanette Barnell (Ken) and Janet Hawley (David); two daughters, Jodi Nathem and Kristine Constante (Jesse); and five grandchildren: Corey, Kaitlyn, Chris, Alex and Jonathan.

A small celebration of life will be held at a later date in Waterloo, Iowa, with family and friends. Date and exact location to be determined.
