Deborah Ann (D'Arrigo) Griffin

Deborah Ann Griffin, (Debbie) went home on October 14, 2017 after a long-fought battle with cancer. Debbie was born May 11, 1951, in Somerset, Pennsylvania. The daughter of Domenick S. D’Arrigo and Theresa J. Dobrinksy graduated from Somerset High and spent a year at Cornell University.

She was a resident of Sierra Vista for 35 years after arriving in April of 1982. Upon arriving, she opened “Hair National.”

As a mother of three girls Debbie kept busy attending school events, ballet, ice skating, band, and Girl Scouts, while also participating in hobbies of her own like stained glass, stamping, and ceramics. Her favorite however, was quilting in which she won many awards.

Debbie is survived by her husband of 35 years, James Griffin, daughters; Kendel, Miranda (Kenny) Zinck of Benson, and Carmen (James) Armstrong of Fort Huachuca. Stepdaughters; Debra (Jerry) Bark of Minnesota and Terri (Rusty) Ferguson of Nevada, 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. 6 stepsisters and 1 stepbrother. The family would like to thank all the people who have helped in the past months and Casa De La Paz Hospice whose assistance has been invaluable in the past month.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a cancer fund of your choice. A requiem mass will be held at Our Lady of the Mountains, November 3, 2017 at 10 a.m.

Interment will be in the Mother Teresa Columbarium following the mass.
