David Teft Bly passed away at age 84 in Sierra Vista, Arizona on Thursday, November 14, 2024.

David was born July 21, 1940 near Spring Valley, Minnesota to Teft and Irene Bly.  He graduated from Spring Valley High School and served in the US Navy in the Pacific, Guam and Japan as an Aviation Electronic Technician.

He lived in many different places, including Turkey, Greece, Italy, Spain and Germany, where he worked as an Electronic Technical Representative for US contractors, US Air Force and US Army.  Amateur (HAM) Radio, Photography and Traveling were his favorite activities.

David was married to Catherine (Nau) Bly on May 1, 1987.  They lived in Arizona, Colorado, Germany, Virginia, Washington, Kansas and retired in 1997 back to Arizona.

David is preceded in death by his parents and brother Gordon Bly.

Survivors include loving wife Cathy, sister Judith (Gael) Hughes, children Victor Bly, Tracy Bly, Sarah (Andy) Wright, two step sons Martin Nau, James Nau, sister-in-law Rachel Bly, first wife Teresa (Cutillas) Maiman, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, December 2, 2024, at Southern Arizona Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1300 S Buffalo Soldier Trail, Sierra Vista, Arizona.  Staging will commence at 11:30 AM behind the admin building near the entrance to the cemetery.
