Conrad Grab, 65, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018 at home with loved ones by his side. Conrad will be lovingly missed by family, friends and his best friend and wife of 36 years, Gloria Grab. He was born on Feb. 23, 1952 in Tucson. Conrad graduated from Amphi High School in Tucson. An electrician by trade and a member of IBEW local 570, there was nothing this man could not build or fix. Conrad will forever be remembered as a kind, caring and gentle soul always helping others during his lifetime. He never missed opportunities to help and mentor young people. Known for constantly teaching and educating building and mechanical skills, there are many loved ones that will forever be grateful for his guidance, patience and time. Conrad had an amazing work ethic but knew how to have fun too, introducing many of his family and friends to boating, water skiing, snow skiing, camping and hunting. His favorite “toys” included speed boats, hot rods, 4X4’s and later in life loved his backhoe and dump truck. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Grab; sisters Karen Grab, Jean Brown and Donna Burris; and brother, Neil Grab. Although he had no children of his own, Conrad’s nephews, Justin Frazier, Curtis Frazier and Jon Wooster, were like his son’s. Conrad will be forever loved by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends. Conrad was preceded in death by his father, William Grab; mother, Helen Grab; and brother, Wayne Grab. A celebration of life will held Feb. 3, 2017, 11 a.m., Our Lady of the Mountains, 1425 E Yaqui St., Sierra Vista, AZ 85650. Reception to follow at 8025 S Vato Lane, Hereford, AZ 85615.
