Charles “Dick” Stepanek, of Hereford, Arizona passed quietly early on Sunday, November 25, 2018 while at home, surrounded by family. He had just entered hospice care.
Dick served in DoD over 43 years with 23 years in the Army and was a fiercely proud veteran, but especially proud of his service during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was awarded the Bronze Star for his service in Vietnam.
In his spare time, Dick loved to fish and tell fish stories, and was also a long time and dedicated Dallas Cowboys fan.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Christa; sons, Richard and Roy; daughters, Bianca and Andrea, ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Ronald.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to his favorite charity, the Salvation Army.
Services with military honors will be held at Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1300 S Buffalo Trail, Sierra Vista, Arizona 85635 on November 29th.
Guests should arrive by 12:40 p.m. for a 1 p.m. service.
