Catherine (Cathy / Kay) Bly passed away at age 85 in Sierra Vista, Arizona on Thursday, November 21, 2024.

She was born to Clyde and Gertie (Shoults) Martin on January 12, 1939 near Eminence, Missouri.  She attended elementary school near Salem, Missouri then moved to St. Louis where she graduated from McKinley High School.  While working at the VA Regional Office, she met and married Harold Nau and had two sons.  They lived in Illinois, California, and Arizona where she was a homemaker, Den Mother for Cub Scouts, and active in local PTAs.  Bowling, needlepoint, crochet and sewing were her favorite hobbies. 

After moving to Arizona, Catherine and Harold divorced.  While working for the US Army on Fort Huachuca, she met David Bly and they married in 1987.  The two of them lived in Arizona, Colorado, Germany, Virginia, Washington, and Kansas where she worked in various positions as a Federal Employee until 1997 when they both retired back to Arizona.

Catherine is preceded in death by her loving husband, mother, father, step-father, sister and brother-in-law,  step-sister, and first husband.

Survivors include sons Martin Nau, James Nau, step children Victor Bly, Tracy Bly, Sarah (Andy) Wright, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

            Services will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Southern Arizona Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1300 S Buffalo Soldier Trail, Sierra Vista, Arizona.  Staging will commence at 11:30 AM behind the admin building near the entrance to the cemetery.
