Ann Marie Coulombe
03/09/1948 - 09/04/2022
Ann Marie Coulombe, 74, of Sierra Vista, AZ, was found deceased on Sunday, September 4th, 2022 in her apartment with her beloved dog Oscar by her side. She died from a heart attack.
Ann was born in Littlefork, Minnesota on March 9th, 1948, to Earl and Dorothy Bolin and raised in International Falls, Minnesota. She was the couple's first born daughter and was one of seven children. She graduated from Falls High School, the class of 1966 and remained in the International Falls area until her retirement. She gave birth to one daughter, Megan in 1976.
She worked tirelessly at her career with Koochiching County Family Services. She started as a financial case worker working her way up to supervisor of financial aid and child support before retiring as co-director of the Koochiching Family Services Agency. Ann was proud of her work as both a President and union representative in International Falls, Minnesota. Ann was also active in MSSA- Minnesota Social Services Association as well as an Elk’s Club Member serving as a Lady Elk prior to women being allowed to be inducted as an Elk. Ann cared unwaveringly for her mother Dorothy as she battled Alzheimer's disease. Ann was a woman who always enjoyed a good story, she could be found reading a novel almost daily. She also loved exchanging stories with friends and those she loved the most. Whether over lunch or over the phone if the first wasn’t possible. She enjoyed getting out to go do something. Whether it be going to church, a new spot to eat or traveling. It became difficult for her to travel due to her health. Ann most recently trekked to Minnesota, her home state this past summer. She enjoyed the warm Arizona weather, moving to Sierra Vista to be closer to her grandchildren. It was a big change from her Minnesota roots she had known all her life. Ann adored her grandchildren, going to every basketball game and school concert that she could. She was proud of her grandkids and their accomplishments. She also adored her little Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Oscar.
She is preceded in death by her infant granddaughter Paige, her parents, Earl & Dorothy, Brother Keith and Nephew Jody.
Ann is survived by her dog Oscar, her Grandchildren Olivia, Brock and Anaya and her daughter Megan and son-in-law Jesus. Nephew, she thought of as her own, Chauncey Dumas. Her brothers and sisters Ron, Jerry, Barb, Mike and Patty, their spouses and children. As well as many friends. Ann will be dearly missed.
Please in Ann’s Memory we ask that you share a new book with someone special in your life to embrace and further grow a love of reading and give your dog a hug to honor the special bond between human and dog.
