Retired Master Sergeant Albert Leroy Everding, 87, departed this life on September 23, 2018, at 8:47 p.m. following a short illness while a patient at Sapphire Nursing Home in Tucson, Arizona.
He is preceded in death by his former wife Rita Everding and leaves to cherish his memories, his current wife Shirley Linda Johnson; an adopted daughter Jeanie Everding; two daughters Dorothy (Kenneth) Knight of Columbia, South Carolina; Diana Moore of Tigard, Oregon; a son Richard Ala of Redding, California; grandchildren, Aaron (Tanasha) Beale, Andre Beale, Misty (Christopher) Rhea, and Robert Robinson. A sister in law Judith Everding and niece Richard and Jeanie Everding. A host of great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
From his wife Linda, "Al was the sweetest man I have ever known", and he loved his cats, feeding the birds, and his fish pond. He was a truly talented artist, draftsman, and had the greatest sense of humor. Our family with miss your beautiful smile and constant words of encouragement.
